Stakeholder Engagement

Stakeholder Strategy

ReGen Strategic’s approach to stakeholder strategy development is built on early engagement and continuous two-way communication to build and maintain social licence to operate for your organisation.

Our strategy development process begins with a desktop review of prior engagement activities to date, existing or previous strategies, the results of surveys or focus groups, the relevant policy landscape and broader external context, as appropriate.

Following the conclusion of this review, ReGen facilitates a ‘why’ workshop with key personnel within your organisation to confirm the purpose and objectives for your engagement.

We then provide the option of undertaking a perception audit with key stakeholders identified through our stakeholder mapping service. A perception audit involves in-depth interviews to identify how they perceive your organisation’s strengths and weaknesses, as well as opportunities for collaboration and potential threats to the relationship. The perception audit also provides baseline data against which to assess the success of the stakeholder strategy on an ongoing basis.

Informed by the above, ReGen develops a detailed stakeholder engagement strategy, with a five-element framework based on Simon Sinek’s golden circle model.

Why – purpose and objectives

How – the approach for achieving our objectives

What – specific activities to be undertaken, key messages, collateral requirements

Who – a detailed map of stakeholders and their influencers, as well as the resourcing required for the implementation of the stakeholder strategy

When – an action plan that aligns with your timeline, resourcing and budget

ReGen develops a plan based on your budget to ensure the strategy is not only comprehensive, but achievable.

Stakeholder engagement strategies can be developed as a discrete service, or as a part of an integrated stakeholder engagement and strategic communication strategy.

Upon finalisation of the strategy, ReGen supports our clients in implementation, with services including:
